Psychotherapy
A holistic approach to your mental health and well-being.
As a counselor, I lead with empathy, authenticity, connection, and curiosity. My goal is to honor the stories my clients share, sit with them through pain and uncertainty, and walk alongside them as they discover their own strength, resilience, and capacity for growth. I view therapy as a collaborative process and see clients as fellow travelers on the journey toward healing.
While I do not claim to have all the answers, I can help you uncover your own.
My approach integrates person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and solution-focused therapies. Grounded in genuineness, trust, warmth, and unconditional positive regard, I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change.
Together, we will explore the challenges you are facing, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and build on the strengths and resources you already possess.
I am trained in trauma-informed care and have specialized training in Brainspotting, a brain-body approach that can help individuals process trauma, distressing experiences, and emotional challenges. I work with adults experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, dissociation, trauma-related symptoms, substance use disorders, grief, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, and life transitions. I have particular experience supporting individuals navigating complex trauma and dissociative experiences, helping clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of connection to themselves and others. My work is collaborative, respectful, and tailored to each client's unique experiences, strengths, and goals. As a queer- and gender-affirming clinician, I am committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and culturally responsive space where LGBTQIA+ clients can explore their identities, relationships, and life experiences with authenticity and support.
I enjoy working with pilots and aviation professionals, including those involved in general aviation and commercial airline operations. As a private pilot myself, I understand many of the unique demands of aviation culture, including the pressures associated with performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. I also have firsthand experience navigating the FAA medical certification process. For pilots who have concerns about privacy, documentation, or the potential impact of mental health treatment on their medical certification, I can help explore treatment and billing options that support both confidentiality and quality care.
I also work with athletes and other high-performing individuals who are navigating the challenges that often accompany excellence. Whether in sports, business, healthcare, academia, or other performance-driven environments, these individuals frequently face high expectations, impostor syndrome, perfectionism, stress, identity concerns, and the pressure to consistently perform at a high level. Therapy can provide a space to strengthen resilience, improve well-being, and pursue goals while maintaining a healthy and sustainable sense of self.
I see clients in-person (availability is limited, contact me for more details) and virtually. My office is located in the Park Boulevard Office Building in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
